cheat day

Time check: 4:37pm and I'm currently munching a huge pack of chocolate covered pretzels and gulping a gigantic glass of root beer! what diet mode!? nah, today is my cheat day you know. well, you see it has been like weeks ago when I started hitting the treadmill and taking some adipex diet pills to suppress my carbo cravings. Oh well, gotta stop refilling my soda glass or else everything will just go to waste.

toilet and baths

I've mentioned on my other blog about the new house of my husband's uncle and aside from raving about the total beauty of the house, I also notice the American Standard toilet in the bathrooms - which are uniquely different. You see, there are houses that features same looking bathrooms in one roof, which I find so totally boring and blunt. That is why, I often talk loud on how I appreciate well done bathrooms when I go to a place or a house for the first time. I do, I really like fab baths!

We just truly love what we are seeing on their photos something like the photos I've seen on the promotional ads of outer banks vacation rentals! Quite really impressing. And with that? My friends are already talking about vacation planning and family getaways this coming holiday season where they can snug in a few days of fun fun fun under the sun!

save and drive!

I need to save some money from all my online earnings and not buy so many stuff online. He (the husband) said that if next year and I were able to save a certain amount, he'll help me get a car! Yes, my own car which I can drive wherever whenever. No need to wait for him and see if our car is available so I can use it. Actually what he propose is a good one, actually I am already thinking of lessening my online shopping come next year, but you know, if sales and great offerings knocks from my favorite sites, I can't promise not to give them a shot, alright? But yes, of courser I would still think more and focus on my Car Allowance proposal from the husband. But what I need to do now is to work my butt out hard so I can snag more of those money maker thingies online or else my car would just be a dust in the air. Although I am not super needing a four wheel machine now, it's just nice to have something to look forward to at the end of the day, after a very draining and mind frying blogging marathon.

a desktop?

Hmmm, maybe it's time, time for me to check out desktop computers that has big memory capacity and fast connection capability. You see, my laptop has already been giving out signs of retiring soon, thus made me think of getting more reliable unit that can withstand the long hours of my work online. But the thing is, it may cost me a few more bucks than what I am ready to spend. I hope to fork out a little more for that. Any idea where to get an affordable yet great performance computer unit?

blurbing and nfl

Are you starting your list for the Christmas? because I am! well, kind of but not really. You see, this is the first time to experience the holidays as married woman without the dear husband, thus making me not so interested with shopping and all, I gues... though I'm trying to be excited for my daughter so she wouldn't feel the sadness and longing that I'm currently having. Oh well, life is truly unfair at times and we just have to deal with it.
And speaking of dealing with life, I am being being mobbed by my nieces on getting them NFL Merchandise for Christmas, after knowing that I am capable of shopping online, they are now getting into my nerves and still asking me to shop for them! knowing that I can't say no to any of their whims, I guess they'd be receiving something from nfluniformset.com after all. Thank goodness this famous site is currently giving out huge sale as of this time, thus making now as the perfect time to shop! aside from that, it can also make me busy to wallow and be sad...Then I guess I'd still be shopping early after all huh! Oh well, guess it's just about time.

on business hype

As I talked about business naming and the wholeness of such thing, it made me also realized that in order for a business be it big or small to be known by the market, promotion and strategies must be conceptualized first before hitting the stars. I believe that is what Marketing Company is there for. In order for the products or services be known in a jiffy.
Actually, that is also what us bloggers are doing, we keep on finding ways to advertise our sites to the people who are into reading blogs and trying out new things, be it products or services that being offered online. With us bloggers, they can basically learn new things on this and that without even the hassle of going out and checking out the aisles of the supermarkets or hitting those business districts to find out what's the fad in the service world today. Am I making sense?! I hope so! Well you see, sometimes saying out aloud - well, via blog posts makes my mind flying free because thoughts on whatever can be poured out heavily thus making me able share my views on this and that. So there, this made me realized that in order for our small business to get a hype, maybe we should consider on trying out marketing strategies, so people or the target customers will get curious and try us out! hmmmm... sounds promising!

Early Christmas Shopping and Dora Tent

So dear daughter has now a new addition to her Dora the Explorer collection. This time a play hut dora tent that was purchased earlier by my good friend Glo. This tent is actually meant for her Christmas loot, yes, I'm already completing my Holiday gift shopping so I wouldn't be surprised on the high cost of everything on December. And I don't want to shop along with the other Christmas rushers on the mall. Also, aside from the hustle and bustle of the holiday spree, I often choose to buy on stores that has a good and reputable name, although I heard that there are mushroom like businesses during this season where they sell branded or knock off items in fairs and other shopping events. But you see, sometimes buying and hoarding stuff from nameless shops can even cause you trouble. Because if something is not right witht the product you bought from them, how would you run after them? where in the world would you find them? Now that's the problem with that. Unlike if you buy on those business shops that really got a service from a Naming Company in order for their business to be known and be recognized as legit, they have this name that you can trust. Where if something is wrong with the product and all, you would easily find them and request for a replacement et al.
So there, just my few cents :D Now let me show you the Dora tent that the little brat of the house will soon be playing on!
Playhut Dora the Explorer LE Hideaway

  • Instant set-up with patented EZ twist technology
  • Versatile play structure featuring children's favorite characters
  • Tunnel port provides crawl-through fun and expandable play
  • Split flap door for easy accessibility
  • Light-weight and portable

Holiday gift suggestion - for daddies

Ola! and here is my holiday gift suggestion series... this time, for the man of our lives, our husband and dads! I know that among the people we give gifts during the holidays, we often find ourselves blank when it comes to the 'what gift for dad' or 'what gift for hubby' situation. As my experience for example, it has always been the last item that I shop during the season of gift buying, and often times I ended with a not so perfect loot for them. But this time, I shopped early! yep, I started shopping gifts since June. Because aside from the fact that I wanted to find the 'it' gift, I took advantage of the best buy deals from www.buy.com - and with that, I was able to save moolah!
So anyways, a chrono watch or big and black faced Fossil watch will sure be a hit for the men of the family! I'm sure they will love receiving watch (knowing men? uh, they love wearing wrist watches! so it's for sure to be a hit). Of course if you have greater value of budget, you can always buy the expensive brands... but for me, this brand is the perfect fit for my small pocket :) I'm sure the husband and dad will not mind at all, they'll love it because it's from the bottom of my heart! teehee!

another note to self.

Oh before I forgot, another note to self post... we need to bring the daughter for her monthly vaccine booster tomorrow, good thing her Pedia messaged and reminded me about her scheduled check up and booster shot. And we might check out some of his colon cleansers products that he has been telling us about. My mom will be the one to check it out, well, she's the one who's interested because she heard a lot of talks about colon sickness and now she's being a paranoid when it comes to that. Though I know that there is nothing wrong with that, we still believe that prevention is way better than cure.

PBB season 4

Watched PBB season 4 a while ago, and to sum up their opening show?! quite not impressive compare to the last past seasons. Kinda boring and redundant when it comes to the spiels and how the housemates came into view -magic tricks and all. Aside from the opening numbers, I think the contestants are not as bubbly or as interesting as the other housemates before.
Or maybe, I'm just expecting too much. Well, we'll get to see more of them in the upcoming days, and by then, know if they are good or boring as I first thought they would be. And by the way, I don't dig the house design or the interior of the house too... ceramic tiles are too funky and the walls are too lousy. I don't know, maybe I'm so not into loud painted walls or something, yeah.. it's just me and my being so different. haha

Caramel Apples

Hey ya mommies! need a trick for your kids to eat fruits?! how about making caramel apples for them! It'll surely make them so happy to eat one with all the sweets and stuff surrounding the whole apple. Now here's something I got online on how to make one :D

Ingredients

8 apples
1 cup chopped nuts (peanuts are best)
1 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
8 craft sticks (pointy on one end)

Preparations

Thoroughly wash and dry apples and insert craft sticks firmly. Line a baking pan with parchment paper. Place chopped nuts in bowl. Over high heat cook 3/4 cup of cream, corn syrup, butter and sugar until the syrup is golden (280 degrees on a candy thermometer). Remove from heat and carefully add remaining cream and vanilla. Stir and mix through. Dip each apple into the caramel and swirl to coat. Once coated, dip into nuts and then place on parchment lined baking pan to cool. (Makes 8 apples)

**Nuts are optional. Can be replaced with confetti sprinkles, mini M&Ms, or mini marshmallows.

dot dot dot

Was supposed to went out today to buy some supplies for my daughter but mom told me not to, because as told in the news, a super typhoon is about to hit once again anytime this weekend. So, just to be sure and safe, I decided not to went out. Will just probably wait for the husband to go online, and we'll just talk about the business he is thinking about, you know, selling of auto parts such as led taillights et al. Anyways, got to hit the sack first, need a few minutes of nap time :D

activity sets

two days ago, I went to the mall to buy gifts, acne treatment meds and other stuff needed for our supposedly party on Sunday. But because of the wrath that the typhoon has left our country, we decided to postpone our get together and just give our collected money to those who are needing help.
Anyways, I also bought a lot of activity art items for my daughter, she's been practically bored during the last weekend and I thought of getting her another set of coloring paraphernalias, this time I got her crayola twistables and water color together with her activity writing books and drawing pad. And as expected, so many kisses and hugs were given in return :D love it!

busy, seeking help. please do.

While everyone in the other parts of the earth are busy blogging and finishing tasks, we, bloggers in the Philippines are on the other hand can't focus on blogging because we are still affected by the typhoon's aftermath. Seeing fellow countrymen suffers, makes us so sad and it practically breaks our heart seeing them on the news. That is why, we make sure to spread the word and ask help from other Pinoy's who are living in another country, to spare a little of what they have in order to help and support the needs of the devastated families in the evacuation centers. Even my research about data center virtualization have been discountinued, most of our works were actually. So again, for those who can spare some more, please do so... I have already posted the ways to donate so I hope you'll get to find the most convenient way to do so. Thank you and may God bless us all.

the princess and the bag of cereals.

Was doing some online search about colon cleanse reviews while at the same time cleaning my photo folders, actually doing a real deal removal of unwanted file too. Then I saw this photo of my little princess in her happy state after receiving a huge bag of choco cereals from tita Glo! Actually, after the pictorial she asked to open the huge bag for her to munch on, but then she saw the other bag filled with chocolates and begged to open it up too! Asked her which she prefer first and happily says, the chocolates! So there... the little girl who got a dose of her choco fix in just a matter of minutes. And the whoe time we were watching her, and without knowing, we too were at our happies :D

online kitchen shopping

A lot of my online friends are into online shopping lately, mostly they get signature items and branded stuffs since most of it are really hefty priced here locally. And for me, it is a business opportunity! yes, got that right. I've been buying and selling imported items here for sometime now and I can say that it has been a great mini stint you know. Thank goodness for shopping coupons that my friend who does the shopping for me uses. Just like the KitchenAid codes that we were able to use the last time we shop for kitchen stuff like tools, gadgets and even pots! It made our shopping a heaven experience because we were able to save a lot! and of course, from the saved amount, another few items to add our shopping cart! Really really good I must say. We also have Rubbermaid discount cards that was able to swipe during our few rounds of kitchen stuff shopping. Actually, we have here rubbermaid items but since we have codes to use, we decided to snag the items online for upon computations we can tell that it is still very convenient and effective to shop with coupons because of the huge savings it gives us! Shopping really rocks! :D

Holy Cow - a disappointment.

My online pals went out last Thursday and had lunch at Holy Cow, actually we were just so hungry and no one has an idea of where to eat, so while scouring the mall we saw this restaurant and remembers one of our friend who raved about this steak shop. So in we go... and the verdict?! food was blunt! really really disappointing, we were just hungry thus made us munch our servings, but deep inside? we are truly not satisfied! We ate our cook it yourself steak - though it was served not sizzling! can you imagine that?! that cold. I should have ordered the chicken plate Kaje and Mai had but they said, it was too dry or something. Oh well, at least that food trip wouldn't require us to take fat burners right?! for we only had a few bite and just talk for hours! haha.

photo op idea!

Christmas parties and get together invitations are actually pouring in as early as now! And by the months of October and November, we blogger moms are already fully booked on different occasions to attend. Oh yes, talk about a lot of gift and outfit buying! Well, thank goodness for the online shopping that we had few months ago, I guess my daughter and I are already covered for our clothes to boot on the said different occasions.
Anyways, aside from gifts and other what not to get I am also in charge (well, all of us are) in thinking of creative party set ups, since we are gonna be having a lot for this holiday season, different themes and get ups is a must. Well, no to buying expensive decorations of course, although we can make use of what the venue has, be it one of those exam table that we can turn into a platform for kids - for the photo op section.
Speaking of photo booth, found this super nice and dainty idea from DPC site, I might suggest this for us to try on one of our party :D

In fact, as early as first week of October, my fellow mommy bloggers is gonna be having our Christmas party! yep, that early, because there are moms who are about to give birth before December and some won't be able to make it if we plan it later than October. So we all then decided to schedule the party as early as possible. Thus making me so gaga on searching for light blue clothes for my daughter and I ( we are color coordinated this year, and my family is assigned to wear lightest blue shade ) and ye, probably buy one of those fancy Naot womens shoes to match my outfit too!

fashion pair

I was browsing $ 8 Rx eyeglasses from Zenni this morning since I'll probably get one for myself before we hit the year end. Been experiencing terrible eye and headaches sometime now and my doctor advised me to have a check up on an ophthalmologist or optometrist to see if I really need one. And since I saw their tag How You Can Start Spending Smart
and about them selling my My favorite high fashion eyeglasses I thought that it is probably a great chance for me to get a pair.

working on web

My previous company that I worked with for the past four years before I decided to become a full swing stay at home mother is now acquiring a lot of system in almost everything. Being fully run by a Japanese mother based, they are really doing things fast and easy. I heard from a friend that they are now thinking of getting an affordable web hosts . Something that will make things and every process and procedures a lot easier for them and the fact that they can do things systematically. Actually, when I was still working there, we already have a hosting service provider that has been offered for free by an IT company, I guess it is for us to dry run the system and see if things will work out right for us. And really, quite surprise by the result but we just did had the fastest procedures ever! thanks to the system! So now, acquiring a web hosting service is one of the brightest idea the management can do for the whole company. It'll be the best thing they have for the longest time and for sure a lot of employees will benefit from it.

everyone wants to give the best among the best gifts that is why we love to do window shopping for the nth time before and during the spare times we have at the mall, week after week there are numbers of new items being displayed and we end up so torn on what to buy for that particular someone we will be giving special gifts. sometimes it is so tiring and time consuming. that some even doesn't have the time to window shop, worst end up buying gifts that are not so 'it'. good thing I still have my Kitchen Aid coupon codes which I can use on buying kitchen stuff for mom.

But of course, I didn't end up one. Anyways, that is why when I was already working and whenever we have a company excursion, I would always ask if we will have one of those comfy coasters or bus for our trips. I would gladly sit in front to clearly hear what the guide would say about the different places and stories he or she is about to tell. Super fun! Until we were able to experience one of the most unbelievable guide during our last trip, who I think doesn't even know more than three facts about the place we are touring!

My OC-ness Level rated!

NOVICE OC!

You’ve just started to realize how important it is to organize. What matters to you now is to increase your productivity. But because you’re still clueless about the organizing process, you tend to buy one of each thing such as notes and flags. Color and design influence your choice in supplies. At this point you most probably have a beginner’s OC tool with you wherever you go which you got as a gift from a friend, bought for yourself or drank endless lattes for last Christmas - a notebook planner.

You most likely have Post-it® Notes in one or two different sizes. For you, we recommend your OC Pack to include more Post-it® Notes and Page Markers to get you started.

covering events

remember my post about the my wedding hosting con coordinator sideline? well it's over and done few days ago :) actually it has been my on call sideline job ever since, it started when i was in a local radio station as dj after College, used to cover events such as concerts, beauty pageants and the likes. it was during 2005 when my SIL a fashion designer started her Fashion House Boutique at Island Cove Resort and Leisure Park and started getting weddings, debuts and fashion shows. being in line for hosting and coordinating destination weddings, it has been my on the side job. and now that i am already a SAHM, meaning there is no 8-5 work that blocks my way to talking non stop during my hosting spiels! lol.

school effort

In high school I remember, we have this project for one of our elective subjects. We have to make throw pillows out of tin foil wrappers used for chips, coffee and others. We collected foil wrappers from trash bins around the school. I remember we even asked some grade school students to collect wrappers from their classmates. Since we are many in school, the competition for foil wrappers is very stiff. Good thing I have an Aunt that works for another school as a principal. She asked her students to collect the foil wrappers. After I collected an enormous number of foil wrappers I have to wash them carefully and hung them dry. After cleaning I cut those into thin strips, ones similar to those coming out of the paper shredder. After cutting it I stuffed it into pillow cases that sewn out of plastic cover, one used for covering books and notebooks. With few laces and trimmings it was transformed into nice throw pillows. What a nice feeling that we have able to recycle garbage to something that can be used again. The effort of waste management was really big but it was worth it.

garbage equals money

“There is money in your garbage”. I heard that slogan from a documentary show that I watched a couple of months ago. I learned that one of a top local designer is helping a small community of women to make bags out of pieces of fabric that used to be treated as waste from garments factories. I heard it was selling good locally and abroad. Their products I admit are really looks good and fashionable. One more featured in the show is also a community that makes handbags, clutch bags and pouches out of juice tetra pack. I have seen one before but I thought it was just a design painted on the bags. I never thought that the bag was really made of out it. Truly there is money in one’s garbage. All we have to do is to be creative in waste recycling the things that we thought to be garbage and waste into another useful thing.

oh yeah?

My friends and I had a quick get together last weekend and they told me that I really obviously lose some weight! It sounded like the sweetest bells to my ears! So maybe I should stop looking for the best diet pills and even supplements such as Acai Berry Energy Supplements in the market today! Or maybe, I should still continue my hunt to you know, help me lose some more of my flabby fats! Or shall I suggest the ones I find so effective to a person who truly needs it?! For she has the nerve to flaunt her body that way! It was shocking! Funny how she was so confident enough to wear an outfit like that in front of so many people! Maybe she doesn't have a mirror in their house or she's suffering great eyes problem or whatever! lol.

techy loots galore!

Sometime last week my dad sent my sister and I another batch of techy loots! this time, another music player for my sister or famously known as Apple Itouch - which I so envy! but you see, I chose not to have one because I still have my regular ipod which is still not yet been maximized and for me, it's enough for all my music needs. But because my dad is so cool and very generous he sent me a new set of Bose earphones to replace my old one and a 500gb EHD for all my photo files that has been eating up a lot of my laptop's memory. Actually, having an EHD nowadays is not just an 'in' thing, it's basically a must have specially for those who are into storing photos in high resolution. Though having an online backup is also a must do, you know, just in case your beloved EHD or laptop act up.

TGIF tomorrow!

Time flies so fast, can't believe that it's Friday again tomorrow! so many things to do, so little time. So what I'm up to for tomorrow? no definite plans actually but my mom has been asking me to accompany her to the mall and look for air filters and see if the budgets goes along with the tag. You see, having a growing kiddo inside the house makes you so paranoid on a whole lot of stuff like allergens and dust pollutants. And I heard that having one inside the house can prevent so many allergy causing stuff that can lead to sickness et al. So there, we might also buy groceries and do impromptu shopping or whatever.
