12.28.08 -- our third wedding anniversary.

So how did we celebrate our special day? We had anticipated mass last Saturday night not because we have a grand plan or whatever on the following day, but we were thinking of just bumming around the house and actually waking up late, on which we did, it was already time for lunch when I get off from the bed (thanks to my dad's surprise phone call - he greeted us! and asked for our plan, if there is any, he even offered in behalf of my mom to take care of the brat if we wanted to have some time off) to see DH prepping up our lunch :D We had fried Liempo and Chicken Sopas. I was fully stuffed, and it was my brunch, so imagine how I binged. Anyways, while we were just watching the kids play (my niece slept over) Amiel received a text message regarding the birthday party of our nephew/Godson that we totally forgot! So we hurriedly prepared ourselves and while we were doing so, hubby asked me if I wanted to go out on a date, just the two of us after the party, and if it is possible to leave Olin at my parent's place... remembering my dad's phone call earlier, I immediately packed up milk bottles, formula, nappies and clothes that will be good for an overnight stay of the brat :D Arrived at the party, and heck, we were late! grab a quick bite and after an hour or so we leave and headed to my folk's place and leave Olin to their care... it was already past 7pm when we found ourselves already in Tagaytay. Since it was a weekend and still falls on a holiday, everywhere is jam packed with people!, slight traffic here and there and boy, it was freezing cold! something that I totally love about the place! We had a hard time looking for parking and the restaurants are all full! We had to wait for a while pa and found ourselves ordering Al Fresco at Teriyaki Boy. Pancake House and Carlos Pizza have waiting lists - we can't wait that long you know while RSM and Leslies is off on my list, I do not crave for Pinoy foods and home style meals kasi that time ...

So there, I ordered Wafu Steak (thanks to Mato of Aggie for making me so intrigue on how it tastes) while Amiel had Seafood Tepanyaki and Kanikama Maki... everything was yummo!

We stayed for a while at the resto while unintentionally eavesdropping at the couple right behind us.. (they were like going out for a month, as to what we heard and are still on their 'best-foot-forward-stage' you know, talking in a super conio-style, while the girl is super batting eyelashes and the guy in his super japorms aura) Anyways, it made us realized that we never got into that stage, at an instant we saw how P-Gutom we both eat, how we talk in our loudest and laugh so hard without arte.

So there, after some stroll and picture taking beside the view fence, we decided to check out Robinson's place, it was super pretty! the lighting was perfect and the place were spacious and there we saw Starbucks at the corner, follow the bee line to the cashier and ordered two hot venti cups of Praline and Toffee Nut latte, it took me almost forever because the lady in front of me had a batch ordered coffee -good enough for a troop! jusko, sangkatutak! naloka ang mga barista's! lol. Anyways, when it was my turn, everything has to be refilled pa! like the whipped cream, lids and the sleeves that took so long for the in charge to bring out from the storage room. And yes, the barista had my name mispelled again! lol. Siguro next time I should say "Kathy with a 'K' as in 'kikay'" lol.

So did we had fun? definitely! we were able to talk about our three years of marriage - our ups and downs, our dreams, our rants and all, we talked as parents, as lovers and as friends. It was a short celebration but a meaningful one, it was mushy at one point or two pa nga! And yeah, it made us realized that being parents for 23 months made us miss one another, maybe we can plan for another 'us-time' soon...
